There are only two guys in my class of 9. I have become one of those "watchers" sitting back and analyzing what's going on around me. Guy #1 installs flooring. Because of that, he is somewhat buff. He is an actor, which means he is somewhat gutsy. He has a black belt in judo, which means he thinks he's tough, AND he probably is. He is soft-spoken and is learning massage so that he can open a martial arts school/health spa with his brother.
Guy #2 got everyone's emails on the first day of class. No one knew exactly why, but we gave our info to him anyway, because the vibe he gives off is of utter innocence. As it turns out, he wanted to get a study group together, and he emailed everyone the lecture notes with info about what would be on the tests. He forgets things and subsequently comes to class unprepared, but we help him out because he made the time to put together study notes for everyone. Leaving class at 10:30, he warned us about the ice in the parking lot and scraped the ice off my car and the car of his massage partner. He is what one might call a "nice guy." Guy #1, with his judo tattoos and low-range-of-motion-joints (because he has broken or dislocated almost everything in his body), might be considered a "wild guy."
Now, according to one particular book I have read, people are generally attracted to the wild guys, but have more respect for the nice guys. Although the book has a few flaws, I generally agreed with the concepts laid out. However, now that I am seeing the types of guys mentioned in the book characterized in my classroom, I am wondering how my perspective on the book will change in the next few months, based on my observations in class. I would like to ask my readers to leave me a message. Which of my classmates do you find the most admirable, interesting, desirable, or some other superlative adjective of your choosing?
