So, I ended up going to the wake... It was odd. We got there before a lot of people arrived, so when we walked in, T almost couldn't believe we were there. It felt strange... because we're growing up. He lives in California now, teaching snowboarding. My mom talked about having a reunion some time with all the people from my class, but they'd all have to travel really far to get there. The answer to that would probably be to meet somewhere where everyone actually wants to go, like Cancun. In which case, snowboard instructors and theater majors like me wouldn't be able to go. Which would defeat the whole purpose of a reunion, if no one shows up.
Anyway, it was cool how the teachers from school were there to support him. The gym teacher, the third grade teacher, the eighth grade teacher, and the principal were there. It was cool to see how they are still involved. It must be neat to be a teacher... seeing your students grow up, knowing you have made some kind of influence in their lives.
So, that's what I did today... Yet another blast from the past. This whole weekend has been full of them.
