Predicament

My violets have mites which seem to be spreading to the other plants in the house. I have a little ladybug friend who has been doing a good deal of cleaning of the plants, however, she is only one and the mites are quite numerous. I bought an organic pesticide that smells like it could kill me if I so much as spill it on the carpet. My problem is that if it does its job, my ladybug will starve, but if I let her live, all my plants will die. I wish there were a bug Lady could eat that didn't kill plants.
