I just ate half a bulb of garlic. You all might want to steer clear of West Milford for a while.
I can't sleep and only got 2 hours last night, so I need something to keep myself from remembering I'm tired. So I'm going to explain why you want to steer clear of Milly.
Garlic contains strong smelling sulfur compounds. When you eat them, your body metabolizes them into allyl methyl sulfide. This cannot be digested and it enters the bloodstream. It is carried to the lungs and skin where it is excreted. That is why, when you eat garlic, you smell like West Virginia.
Now, why did I try to make myself smell like West Virginia? Because a double inner ear infection indicates infection. Last time my ears hinted that there was an infection (almost a year ago) I conquered it with the Indian home remedy Ginger Honey Concoction, the European home remedy Garlic In Oil In Tin Foil With A Little Botulism Sprinkled In, the Hippy home remedy Lots And Lots Of Green Stuff, the Christian home remedy Prayer God And Anointing Oil, and the Eastern Philosophies home remedy Good Energy And Positive Thoughts.
This time around I did all that but left out the garlic, because botulism is no longer in style. But now my ear infections are full-fledged and I can't really take the pain. So, I decided "West Virginia here I come, and bring on the ajoene and allicin." What's that? you ask, and Why did you put scientific words in the same sentence as West Virginia? Aren't they antithetical?
Sure but I'm sick, in pain, and have 2 hours of sleep under my belt and am going to say whatever I darn well please in my blog. Allicin is a compound with antibacterial properties that is created in garlic when you crush it, as a chemical reaction between aliinase and aliin. However, there's not much of it and its not stable, but darn it all, I'm going to ingest whatever IS there. Ajoene is also antimicrobial and is more stable, because it is formed when three allicin molecules bond.
Ahhh I just want to go to sleeeeeeeeeepppppp....

Yup, thats what I'm goona try today:
Crushed garlic & sliced ginger tea with honey, lemon and cayenne pepper.
My throat/ear are killing me AND it seems I have an underfever (97.5) as well (which is how I found your blog via my search on google for just what to call the opposite of a fever).
Hope we BOTH feel better!
Did it work? Did your anti-vampire concoction make you feel better? You could have probably had some of the mussels from Bobby Vans Resturant and felt better. The garlic in those babies kept me UP all night with big-time "garlic tongue" HAHA. I tried not to torture innocent bystanders on the following day. I'm sure I failed.
