Oy ve!

I got up at 8 am and took Jack to the vet. It was not a planned visit. My conversation went something like this:

Me: Jack spent most of yesterday throwing up.
Vet: Ohh poor guy, mmbbhheee baby talk...
Me: The last time he threw up, there was a live worm in it.
Vet: Oh, well that narrows it down. He has worms.
Really??
Vet: Was it long and thin, or kind of spaghetti-like?
Me: Think "anorexic tequila worm," but not perfectly preserved in alcohol.
Vet: I'm going to give him this shot to soothe his stomach-
Jack: Hisssssss
Vet: -and then I'm going to shove these pills down his throat. The pills will kill the worms.

After that I had a few errands to run and then I had to go to church to help organize the bookstore. Jack slept on my coat for 9 hours straight. I was amazed he was being so good for once. He might need that pill more often haha.

Yeah so seeing a roundworm writhe in a pool of vomit... NOT one of those things to put on your list of things to do before you die. In fact, put it on your don't do EVER list.

Apparently, kittens can be born with roundworm if the mother has it, so there's a good chance that Puca and Velvet will begin to develop Jack's symptoms. Seeing a roundworm writhe in a pool of vomit THREE TIMES would not be cool. And if that's not cool enough... apparently its transferable to humans. I am trying to decide if I need to go to the doctor. I am pretty sure I didn't eat any feces though.
