The storm clouds roll in the sky like a raging sea. In the center, there is a bright light, and from the light descends a stone staircase. Despite its magnificence and importance, its base is covered in bird excrement from the seagulls who take refuge when all around the staircase is ocean. In the ocean we see the first splash of true color, a deep sapphire blue. Standing on the lowest step, ankle deep in water, is a child all in white, her gown and wings blowing in the wind. She holds the second source of color: crimson gerbera daisies, whose petals drop straight down despite the obvious wind blowing to starboard.
