Addendum (not to imply anything whatsoever about the person with whom I had the following conversation)

bookguydc: so, you are absolutely, completely unemployed at the moment, eh?
bookguydc: You're not "chipping", are you?

bookguydc: lol - 'chipping' is the term the college students use here when they raid the Dumpster at the local grocery store
bookguydc: for the close-to-expiring but unopened chips and stuff
arwenundomiel9: aww lol... nope here, they're supposed to donate that stuff to food banks
bookguydc: I guess the stores toss the unopened bags of chips and bread into the bins and the college students have a hey-day
bookguydc: lol - one of them called me and asked if I needed any bread
bookguydc: I was like, "uh, why?"
bookguydc: "Because, we went on a chipping raid and have 8 loaves!"
